Hayden is 15!

15 yrs old today!

What 15 yr old wants new scriptures for his birthday?

Eating Swedish pancakes 1/2 asleep!

Today is Hayden's 15th birthday!  He has been the best kid a parent could ever hope for!  He woke up to Swedish pancakes, spent the day at church, had a fabulous (if I can really say that) meal of Sirloin beef- tips, yummy Gma Sampson salad, potatoes, veggies and chocolate chip cake for dessert!  We have a birthday tradition that the kids always love.  At their birthday dinner we go around the table and tell all of the things that we love about that person or a funny memory that we have of them.

Dad: Told a bunch of Hayden stories- he was a very grumpy little kid.  We would give him the option to either 1. be happy and nice 2. stay in the car (if we were visiting friends or grandparents).  9 times out of 10 he would opt to stay in the car!  Hayden also had his first experience with driving when dad left Hayden 2 1/2 and Brittan new baby in the car while he stood a few feet away talking to someone in front of Grandma/pa's house.  Hayden got tired of waiting and took the car out of park and rammed into his grandparents garage!  Yikes!  Hayden will get another chance at driving this week when he gets his driving permit!
Mom: I can always count on him.  I love that he still hugs me!
Brittan:  He always includes me with his friends.  He always looks out for me too.
Olivia:  He is always the first one to jump up and help.
Isabelle:  He is funny and nice.

We love you Hayden!

He is funny an nice and is every boys favorite cousin (at least for Payton). Payton looks up to him since his family situation is similar ... however, thankfully he isn't as grumpy as Hayden.

Happy b-day Hayden! If Paul were at your dinner table, he'd say you're his favorite person to go to Seven Peaks with. We hope you had a good one!

Speaking of 7 Peaks, Hayden was also my favorite partner that year. We went down every scary ride. He is a real thrill seeker. He was starting to go down a scary ride sitting up when the lifeguard yelled at him to lay down so he did --> FACE FORWARD. I didn't have time to freak out about the ride myself because I just had to get to the bottom to make sure he was ok. When I got to him he said, "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!" I was happy he wasn't hurt or mad. Hayden has always been such a fantastic kid and not even a kid anymore, I can't believe he's 15 and getting his permit! Love you all.

Hey Neal family!
Remember me? It's Kim's little sister. I found you on her blog and was taken to your site. Oh my gosh, the kids are so big! I remember when it was just Hayden and Brittan. Wow, how time flies!
Glad I got to take a peek and get a little update on your family. You guys look good!

That story about Bella had me laughing out loud. Kids say the darnedest things! Was she embarrassed?
